Wedding Florist Essex

We’re about fantastic floral design, exquisite ideas, friendly personal service and the best quality flowers we can get our hands on.

Owned by mum & daughter Jan & Carla Zelezinski, we are all about fantastic floral design, exquisite ideas, friendly personal service, creating with the skills from more years experience than we like to mention and using the best quality flowers we can get our hands on!

We find great pleasure in making beautiful bouquets using seasonal flowers and colours, we love being creative, drawing inspiration from everything around us, finding a pretty flower at the market which leads to a whole new colour spectrum for the day.

We are not just another national online service sending out flowers by courier nor are we involved in any relay systems, we create with our own hands then deliver with our own feet!

We’ve put our hearts and souls into our business for the past 13 years, our ever growing wedding diary, extensive regular client list, delighted customers and impressed wedding venues recommending us are testament to all the hard work.

We are very much a family business then extending to our excellent team of freelance florists and support staff , we are a close, friendly set up with everyone working hard to make the business the best it can be, nobody works here just because they need a job, it’s for the love of the industry and the belief in what we do and how we’re doing it. With our mix of ages and over 50 years experience in floristry it means we keep up to date with latest trends whilst also having the skill and know- how to create styles that are coming back round for the second time!

Jan started as a Saturday girl in her local florist at 14 years old where she later became manageress, moving on to help set up a new shop then working for a small chain in London which expanded to provide dried flower displays to retail firms such as M&S back in the 1970’s dried flower hay-days! Reluctantly she gave up a directorial role there to have a family but continued to freelance back in the London shops and create weddings locally, giving a flexible career to fit around the demands of family life. Carla grew up watching Jan at work, learning without realising when helping to set up weddings on Saturday mornings, being a little helper in the London shops in the school holidays, but went on to pursue an education in business management and marketing. After a spell in advertising in London she approached Jan over a family dinner to combine forces and skills in a joint venture, and soon Elegant Stems was born and we’ve never looked back.
