Katherine and Simon held both their ceremony and reception at Parklands, Quendon Hall in Autumn 2013; the Essex venue had a particularly special meaning for the couple as they had previously worked there while studying and having seen the work of many different florists during their time working there it was an honour that they chose us!

Kat wanted a warm autumn country garden feel with a natural style and a hint of vintage with a burnt pink and burgundy colour scheme.

Her bouquet was a wired shower design with a natural styling, using the Cezanne roses, a 2-tone cream with burnt pink edge, darker pink Blueberry roses to match the bridesmaid’s dresses plus a hint of burgundy hypericum berries, alstroemaria, astrantia plus foliages including herbssoft grasses and trailing ivy.  Kat also asked us to incorporate a locket into her bouquet which included a picture of her much loved Grandpa.

The bridesmaids’ hand tied posy bouquets, used flowers to match the brides but with less of the darker shades to ensure they stood out against their dresses and to keep with the hint of vintage, the ribbon ties were secured in place with pearl pins.

The reception table decorations were a mixture of large arrangements, which included tall martini style vases and lower sweetie jars holding natural hand tied bunches.  The flowers included Cezanne rosesBlueberry roses, burgundy hypericum berries, gypsophlia, dark pink astilbe, mulberry lisianthus, mulberry astrantia, ivory alstroemaria, and hydrangea (in autumn/pink/green), foliages including herbs and trailing ivy.

A special thanks to Tom Halliday for the professional photographs featured.

A little note from our bride and groom:

“I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you for the flowers for our wedding (12/10/13).  They were perfect and looked absolutely beautiful!  A lot of people commented on how lovely they were.  My Grannie, who wasn’t at the wedding, loved her bouquet that was sent to her afterwards, and even some of the other ladies in her home said they were beautiful too.  I also loved the locket of my Grandpa that was attached to my bouquet – it really was perfect!

I really can’t thank you enough for everything!  Everything was perfect :)”
