Elegant Stems Regional Finalists in The Wedding Industry Awards 2015
We are pleased to announce that we were recently named regional finalists in the Best Wedding Florist category for London and South East as part of The Wedding Industry Awards 2015.
“We were honoured to be finalists in the most prestigious of the wedding awards” said Carla, “we have to say a huge thank you to all our wonderful wedding clients, it’s been a pleasure working with you all!”
Carla and Jan have been running Elegant Stems together since 2006, but Jan has been working as a florist in the area for over 45 years. “We are very lucky to do a job that we are both incredibly passionate about” she said. “The business is full of exhausting long hours of physical work and we never switch off when a wedding is upon us – coming up with ideas and problem solving when we should be asleep – but the satisfaction of helping to create dream wedding days make it all worth while and we still feel the buzz every wedding morning”.
“Flowers are often at the very heart of a wedding, they can really show the personality and style of the couple and it is a huge responsibility to get it right and hopefully we do that for all our brides, not matter how big or small their day” said Carla. “Mum and I are very lucky to have an incredible team supporting us, freelance florists and support staff who step in to make multiple wedding weekends possible. We are grateful every day for the effort that they put in and the way that they care about the weddings as much as we do!”
The Wedding Industry Awards recognises and rewards excellence in the wedding industry across 27 categories and 7 regions. As part of the awards companies and businesses are voted for by brides and grooms who have used suppliers over the previous year.
“We are so thrilled that The Wedding Industry Awards are so incredibly well regarded by not only wedding professionals but also brides and grooms,” says founder of The Wedding Industry Awards, Damien Bailey. “Only those who’ve recently married can vote in the Awards so those who’ve made the shortlists really are delivering exceptional service in an industry that absolutely demands the best.”
“It has been an amazing but somewhat crazy wedding season and it’s not all over yet!” says Carla. “We still have a few festive brides to work with and of course Christmas is always a very busy time of year for us with our wreaths and Christmas deliveries, the wedding work is only part of what we do so we are fortunate that our other work helps to keep us busy even when the wedding season slows down but we wouldn’t change it for the world!”
