For the early May bank holiday weekend we were back at Parklands, Quendon Hall, the beautiful Essex wedding venue ready to start the wedding season off with a bang with a gorgeous wedding. It was the first hot day of the year, stunning blue skies above and the sun shining on the loveliest couple we could wish to work with – Emma and Steve.
They envisioned a modern, elegant theme, the Bridesmaids were dressed in stunning full length blue/grey toned dresses which worked wonderfully alongside the carefully selected flowers: ivory roses, mint lisianthus, white freesia, green viburnum, ivory spray roses, hydrangea, gypsophila, calla lilies and eucalyptus. The eucalyptus was chosen as the perfect match to the bridesmaid dresses, the white and ivory gave an elegant feel with added elements of mint and zesty lime green to give a vibrant, modern touch.
Both the bridal and the bridesmaid bouquets chosen were hand tied, with an almost messy style, the calla lilies were picked out as the key flowers for the men’s buttonholes. The fabulous large urn displays sat on plinths gave grandeur to the ceremony room and echoed the original columns in this stately home Essex wedding venue. For the reception in the beautiful pavilion at Parklands, Quendon Hall we created table displays including a mixture of tall, large martini vases and low mixed vases around a central hurricane lantern. In the vast space with lots of tables to play with, the combination of tall and low centre pieces is really effective to create impact and interest in the room.
Emma and Steve were a delight to plan with, they had beautiful ideas for their wedding and it was a pleasure to play a part in creating their dream day which was filled with love and fun.
The gorgeous photos from the day were taken by the brilliant Emma Hillier Photography.
